How to Use Carbon Filled Furan Mortar / Cement

Surface Preparation

Ensure the cement-plastered surface is::

  • Slightly rough, clean, and dry
  • Free from dust, dirt, grease, or oil
  • Properly leveled with the required slope, as no adjustments can be made during acid-proof lining
Mortar / Cement Preparation

Mixing Ratio: 1 part Solution to 2 parts Powder (adjust slightly based on temperature and conditions)

Steps:

  • Stir the Solution thoroughly
  • Place Solution in a mixing pan and gradually add Powder
  • Mix with a spatula or trowel until a uniform consistency is achieved
  • Prepare small batches to ensure usability before setting
  • Use all Mortar / Cement from the pan before mixing a new batch

Discard any material that begins to set; do not re-temper

Application Process
  • Apply Mortar / Cement to bricks or tiles using a trowel, ensuring even coverage for bedding
  • Butter the back and sides of bricks or tiles and squeeze out excess Mortar / Cement
  • For jointing, ensure joints are fully filled without air pockets
  • Keep the area dry and free from traffic or water during setting and curing
Curing
  • Initial Set: 6–8 hours at 30°C
  • Final Set: 24–48 hours at 30°C
  • Full Cure: 7 days at 30°C
  • Prevent water exposure during curing to ensure optimal performance
